Who Will be the Next Faces of Farming and Ranching?

faces of farmers bannerThe U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance is now accepting applications for the new Faces of Farming and Ranching. USFRA CEO Randy Krotz says the alliance is proud of the improvements farmers and ranchers are bringing to America’s food supply and USFRA thinks it’s imperative that they have a strong voice in addressing consumer questions. Krotz says the success USFRA experienced with last year’s ambassadors shows people want to hear directly from those who are cultivating food. Complete an application entry form and submit a video no longer than three-minutes that shows your operation and your role on the farm or ranch at Food Dialogues dot com slash Faces (www.FoodDialogues.com/Faces). Entries will be accepted until midnight Central on Sunday, August 10th. USFRA will announce the finalists in early September and profile each finalist on Food Dialogues dot com. The general public will then be able to vote for their favorite in late October through early November. Winners will be determined through a combination of public votes and scores from USFRA judges.

The winners – who will receive a 15,000-dollar stipend to cover costs at home while they travel – will be announced on November 12th at the National Association of Farm Broadcasters Convention in Kansas City.
