Pioneer Harvest Update with Tony Halter

Pioneer Harvest Update with Tony Halter

With over 25% of the fields in this part of the state harvested,  the early results are holding up, according to Tony Halter, with DuPont Pioneer, “We have been blessed to have a fantastic growing season this year. Many growers have mentioned that their yields are above their expectations.” Halter said, for many, this could be a record setting year, “I just talked to grower who reported an entire field of Pioneer P1105AM averaged over 250 bpa.”

Pioneer introduced several new Hybrids this year. Halter told HAT they also performed well in this year’s environment, “What is really exciting is that some of these new hybrids, like P1197AM, P1257AM, and P1479AM, are outperforming our regular line up.”

The soybean harvest in SW counties is also picking up speed. Here, too, Halter said the yields look good, “I rode in a combine with a grower who was cutting 94Y23 soybeans, and the yield monitor was bouncing over 100 bpa.” Listen to the complete interview with Tony Halter on the agronomy page at our web site and mobile app.
