Kubota Excited for New Tractor Unveiling in Louisville

The National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky next month is a show one particular exhibitor is pointing to for the unveiling of a brand-new orange colored farm tractor. At least we can assume it will be orange, because that is Kubota’s signature color, but senior product manager Kent Brown just isn’t revealing much information right now.

“We want potential customers to come out because we’re going to have a great unveil,” he said. “It’s a new ag tractor, something that customers have been asking for with new configurations that we’re going to show some new hay tools on and things that we haven’t shown before. So, we’re really excited about that, and then maybe later in the year we might have some more exciting news for Kubota. We’re just teasing everybody because right now it is an exciting time. If the farm economy is improving and the market improves, it’s going to be the right time to introduce some new products.”

The Louisville show will be the first for this new tractor. Kubota’s newest tractor already available for the ag market is the M7. Brown says it comes with the history of Kubota quality.

“We were the innovators in the compact diesel tractor market starting back in 1969, grew that market and about the late 80’s and 90’s got into what is now our M Series market and grown that into more of a utility tractor. In 2014 we introduced to our dealers the M7. In 2016 we finally came into the market with a tractor with the heaviest base weight in this class, the most loader lift capacity, and highest 3 point standard lift capacity in the market.”

And it comes technology-ready.

“It’s ISOBUS-ready on all of our Premium and Premium KVT tractors, largest touchscreen monitor, and the ability to put about anybody’s auto guidance system on it,” Brown told HAT.
