Indiana Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch formally started her 2024 campaign for governor on Monday. Crouch formally announced her campaign in an online video message at crouchforindiana.com.
Crouch has been Lt. Governor since Jan. 2017 after serving as running mate with Gov. Eric Holcomb in both of his election campaigns for Indiana governor.
As Lt. Governor, Crouch leads and oversees the Indiana State Department of Agriculture.
Crouch had previously served as the state auditor and as a state representative in District 78. She graduated from Mater Dei High School in Evansville and Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
On Nov. 30, Sen. Mike Braun (R-IN) filed paperwork to run for Indiana Governor. Braun was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2018 and has served one-term as senator.
Both Crouch and Braun are looking to fill the office that is currently held by Gov. Eric Holcomb (R-IN), who is in his second and final term due to Indiana’s term limits on the office.
