Rain Improves Indiana Crop Condition Ratings

Indiana corn and soybean conditions improved from the previous week with 67% of corn and 68% of soybeans rated in good-to-excellent condition.

In USDA’s weekly Crop Progress report, Nathanial Warenski, USDA NASS Indiana State Statistician, says soil moisture levels also increased from the previous week, with 78% of topsoil moisture reported adequate or surplus.

Nationally, 59% of corn and soybeans are rated good-to-excellent, an increase from last week. Soybeans jumped 5% and jumped 2%.
