American Dairy Association Indiana Inc. has announced that it will offer two featured items at this year’s Indiana Farmers’ Dairy Bar: a Smoked Gouda’cue grilled cheese and a Key Lime Pie milkshake. These offerings will be served alongside traditional fan favorites, including a variety of grilled cheese sandwiches, hand-dipped ice cream, milkshakes, Hoosier Custard and milk.
Last year’s record-breaking sales included:
- 72,000 milkshakes
- 39,000 grilled cheese sandwiches
- Over 12,000 bowls of ice cream
- Over 7000 orders of mozzarella sticks
- Almost 10,000 servings of milk
“Nothing beats a stop at the Dairy Bar on your visit to the Indiana State Fair,” said Brooke Williams, Director of Communications for the American Dairy Association Indiana, Inc. “This year’s grilled cheese and milkshake offerings are fun twists on state fair classics, and we’re excited for fair goers to experience these delicious treats!”
The Smoked Gouda’cue grilled cheese includes smoked gouda, sharp cheddar, and tangy barbecue sauce between buttery, golden Texas toast.
The Dairy Bar is open during normal Indiana State Fair hours from August 1 – 17 (closed Mondays) and will be run by members of the American Dairy Association Indiana, Inc., local celebrities and community all-stars.
