Farmers market vendors and managers are invited to attend in person trainings at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Throughout a series of trainings vendors and market managers will gain a better understanding of legal issues, food safety regulations, market stability, and managing conflict between vendors, the community, and customers.
“Farmers markets serve as essential hubs that connect local producers with consumers, foster community engagement and promote access to fresh, healthy foods,” said Sarah Hanson, Purdue Extension’s food systems coordinator.
Trainings will take place from 1:30-3:00pm on January 27, February 3, February 10, and February 17 at 1202 E. 38th St., Suite 201 in the Discovery Hall. The cost to register and attend is $75 per person. Contact Jayde Grisham at 765-623-3074 or jmgrish@purdue.edu with any questions.
