Purdue Extension invites Indiana farmers and agricultural families to attend the virtual series “Farm Shield: Protecting Your Legacy from Life’s Uncertainties.”
Farm Shield offers practical tools and expert insights for navigating the complex challenges of succession, estate planning and risk management. Topics to be discussed at the Farm Shield conference include estate and succession planning with a legal professional, managing financial responsibility, addressing family conflict and preparing for the unexpected.
The virtual sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m. (ET) throughout March.
Each week focuses on a critical component of managing and sustaining a family farming operation.
- March 4 — Preparing for the unexpected
- March 11 — Estate and succession planning
- March 18 — Managing financial responsibility
- March 25 — Addressing family conflict
