The Hoosier Ag This Week Podcast for 3/22/25

On this edition of Hoosier Ag This Week: We celebrate National Ag Week, as Eric Pfeiffer reports from the Indiana Statehouse during two big events this past week—the “Farm to Capitol” event on Tuesday and the Indiana Farm Bureau Legislative Breakfast on Wednesday. You’ll hear from ISDA Director Don Lamb and INFB President Randy Kron as they talk about the importance of spotlighting Indiana agriculture with your state lawmakers.

You’ll also hear from NASDA CEO and Tipton County native Ted McKinney, who shares with Hoosier Ag Today the concerns over China’s attempts to take control over the Panama Canal.

Plus, you’ll hear from Kosciusko County farmer Kip Tom, who also served as former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Agencies for Food and Agriculture. Tom was one of the guest speakers during the inaugural Indiana Hunger Summit at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on Thursday, as he shares ways that farmers can help solve the issue of food insecurity across the U.S.

Those stories—plus, Brian Basting with Advance Trading reviews Friday’s grain markets. That’s all part of the Hoosier Ag This Week Podcast!
