The Hoosier Ag This Week Podcast for 5/4/24

On this edition of Hoosier Ag This Week: HAT Chief Meteorologist Ryan Martin says there is way too much moisture in his Planting Weather Forecast this time around. We only see a couple of days that stay precipitation free, but they aren’t next to each other.

Sabrina Halvorson reports from Washington, D.C. and meets face-to-face with the leaders of the U.S. House and Senate Ag Committees to discuss the overviews they both presented this week for a new Farm Bill.

C.J. Miller chats with Courtney Kingery, CEO of the Indiana Corn Marketing Council and Indiana Soybean Alliance, about the recent ag trade trips to Brazil, Mexico, and India—all over the past three weeks—as she works to sell more of Indiana’s corn and soybeans to outside markets.

Eric Pfeiffer reports how Indiana soybean farmers are also looking for new opportunities to team up with the aquaculture industry.

Plus, Brian Basting with Advance Trading discusses two-day rally we saw in the grain markets to end the week.

All of that and much more are coming up on Hoosier Ag This Week!
