From the Camp Grounds to the Track American Ethanol Shines in Michigan

Both American Ethanol drivers and spokesmen Kenny Wallace and Austin Dillon will be on the track at Michigan International Speedway this weekend. On Saturday, Kenny Wallace will run in the No. 99 Family Farmers car in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.  In addition to running in the Nationwide Series, Austin Dillon will be busy throughout the weekend as he attempts to qualify for the Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday in the No. 33 American Ethanol Chevrolet.

Race attendees will see many innovative American Ethanol promotions at the track thanks to Michigan corn growers and the Corn Marketing Program of Michigan. Farmers will share the story of modern ag with fans at the track and in the campgrounds where they will reward fans for flying American Ethanol Green Flags to show support for ethanol. These prizes will be distributed throughout the weekend with eligibility solely contingent upon flying the green flag with which they will be presented at the weekend’s beginning.

Austin Dillon will join this effort, touring the campgrounds in an American Ethanol Chevy Silverado Friday evening.  While there, Dillon speak with fans about the E15 campaign and a sweepstakes to win one of three trucks similar to that he will be driving.

The National Corn Growers Association urges members and agvoates tune in Friday to SPEED for continued American Ethanol coverage during practice and qualifying broadcasts beginning at 11:30 AM ET. Catch the American Ethanol Fast Facts throughout the broadcasts and find out the moment that Kenny and Austin qualify.

“When our drivers succeed, American Ethanol succeeds as well,” said NCGA NASCAR Chair Martin Barbre.  “The brighter the spotlight on Austin of Kenny’s car, the more prominent the coverage of American Ethanol becomes.  So, tune in and turn up the message that American today needs the benefits of this viable, sustainable, domestic alternative fuel.”

On Friday at 7:00pm ET on SPEED, Austin Dillon with be interviewed live on Trackside about his continued success in the Nationwide Series and his hopes for running the American Ethanol Chevrolet in the Sprint Cup Series race on Father’s Day.

On Sunday, the E15 campaign continues during the TNT broadcast coverage. Catch the new spot, which features Austin Dillon and Kevin Harvick, promoting the many benefits of ethanol.  This piece will air many times throughout the national broadcast of the Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan at 12:00pm ET.
