Learn, Network, Grow: Farm Advisors Meeting Aims to Accelerate Conservation Success

The Farm Advisors Mentoring Program is hosting a full group meeting on Friday, January 16 at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds in Danville.

The event is from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Eastern time and will include a lunch at 11:30 a.m.

The day will focus on opportunities for mentors, mentees and others interested in the program to network and share ideas.

There will be a number of roundtables throughout the day to discuss topics chosen by the farmer attendees’ and led by their most experienced mentors. The goal is for those who attend will gain some great insights to help with real-world soil health cropping systems no matter what their experience level is.

This meeting is a critical step in developing the real benefit of Farm Advisors – bringing together farmers at all points in their conservation journey and sharing information to help us all move forward.

Farm Advisors is a new program started by farmers who are interested in conservation and sharing how conservation has worked on their farm. The program pairs seasoned growers with beginning or transitioning farmers, offering one-on-one guidance on everything from crop management to business planning.
